Medicare Drug Calculator Instructions and Link

 After CLICKING ON THE LINK

• either LOG INTO YOUR ACCOUNT (if you'd like to access your saved medication list) 
• or you can simply ENTER YOUR ZIP CODE and click CONTINUE

• Choose Medicare drug plan (PART D)
• Click FIND PLANS

• Choose whichever answer applies
• Click CONTINUE

• If you DO NOT take any prescription medications, choose NO and NEXT. (skip down to the Add Providers step of these instructions)
• If you DO take prescription medications, choose YES and NEXT. Then enter them on the next screen. 

When you've entered all of your prescription medications, click DONE ADDING DRUGS 

Enter your pharmacies and click CONTINUE TO VIEW PLANS. It is recommended to choose Mail-order Pharmacy as an option, just to compare costs.  

• The plans are in default order from least to most expensive drug+premium cost (top to bottom). You can change that by choosing SORT PLANS BY
• At the top of the page, you can change the filter options.
• As you scroll through the plan options, you will see at the bottom of each plan an ENROLL button, PLAN DETAIL button, and a box to click to ADD TO COMPARE 
• The PLAN DETAIL is a breakdown of everything for that plan, including monthly drug costs. 

Click ENROLL for the plan you'd like to join. A screen will pop up telling you what information you will need to have with you in order to apply. When ready, click JOIN PLAN. Helpful info:

• YOUR MEDICARE NUMBER AND EFFECTIVE DATES are on your red/white/blue Medicare card
• INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR OTHER HEALTH COVERAGE are on your current policy card (Start and end date of current coverage are 1/1/2025 and 12/31/2025)
• DATES THAT ANY CHANGES TAKE EFFECT are Jan 1, 2026. 
• Regarding SEP, choose the option that says something to the effect of 'my plan lost its contract with Medicare'.
